What it is about
Immediate and late implants in bio-ceramic – briefly explained
With immediate implantation, the ceramic implant is placed right after tooth removal, in the same session. Advantages: only one procedure, a shorter overall timeline, and bone and gum tissue are better preserved. This requires an infection-free situation and sufficient bone.
With late implantation, the jaw heals first for several weeks to months – sensible in cases of acute inflammation, limited bone or after focal infection treatment. If needed, we build up bone using biological materials and PRF. 3D diagnostics show which method fits.
In detail
Two methods compared
Immediate implantation
Remove the tooth, clean the socket, place the ceramic implant, often with a temporary crown – all in a single session.
- Shortest treatment time
- Preserves soft tissue
- Only with good starting conditions
Late implantation
Healing first, then implantation – the safer choice with inflammation, insufficient bone or after focal infection treatment.
- Safe starting position
- Bone augmentation possible
- Plannable

What patients ask us
Am I without a tooth during healing?
Usually not – we fit you with a temporary.
How do you decide between immediate and late?
Based on the 3D scan, inflammation status and available bone – and your wishes.
What if there isn't enough bone?
Then we build it up with biological materials and PRF, usually at the same time as implantation.
