Surgery & implants – briefly explained
When a tooth is missing, implants create a stable, natural base for crown, bridge or prosthesis. In Freienstein we rely on zirconia ceramic – a white, metal-free material that the body tolerates very well and is optically indistinguishable from real teeth.
Even with wisdom teeth, inflammation or a too-narrow jaw we offer surgical solutions that are performed as gently as possible. With 3D planning we keep the overview and protect nerves and neighbouring structures.

What patients ask us
Does an implant hurt?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia and is usually noticeably less unpleasant than a tooth extraction. Aftercare is well controllable.
Why ceramic instead of titanium?
Ceramic is white, metal-free and very well tolerated – ideal if you want to avoid metals or little bone is available.
How long does healing take?
Depending on the situation about three to four months. In suitable cases we even provide the tooth immediately.
Does my wisdom tooth have to go?
Only if it causes problems – e.g. through crowding, caries or inflammation. We check this individually and gently.
